This weekend saw the rise of BAMMA’s new crowned world champion Terry Brazier who has enjoyed a remarkable rise, having climbed to the top of BAMMA’s welterweight division in just his third year as a professional. BAMMA 34 marked Brazier’s eighth straight victory, just as significantly he snapped Alex Lahore’s ten fight win streak, which included two world championship bouts.
Professor Eddie Kone who is part of Terry braziers coaching team overseeing the jiu-jitsu elements for the fighters couldn’t be happier.
Everyone at the Eddie Kone Academy of jiu-jitsu wishes to congratulate Terry and his team on this amazing victory and look forward to the future as Terry continues to push forward in 2018.
It is with great pleasure we can now offer ALL Potential students of our Introduction adult classes for Gracie jiu-jitsu.
Every Tuesday & Thursday at 630pm till 730pm.
Prospective students wishing to start their journey in jiu-jitsu will be allocated their own jiu-jitsu instructor to guide them through the early stages of their journey.
Classes will be 1hr long and the course will cost £70 for the first 6 weeks.
Regardless of age or experience, we welcome all students from all backgrounds.

On Sunday the 26th of November 2017, The Eddie Kone academy of Jiu-Jitsu had its winter belt ceremony with over 50 students in attendance.
Professor Eddie Kone and his panel of black belts and assistants tested Mr Liam Wandi, Mr Shukie Lok and Mr Shaun Escoffery on both the technical, philosophical and mental aspects of jiu-jitsu. ( The Black Belt Exam).
At the end of the exam which lasted 5, hours all 3 students were promoted to the rank of Black Belt.
Also promoted were,
Mr James Gregory was promoted to the rank of red bar on his black belt.
Mr Zaid Williams was promoted to the rank of Brown Belt.
other academy students were also promoted to both the rank of Purple and Blue Belts.
To us at the Eddie Kone academy of jiu-jitsu, the coveted Black Belt symbolizes much more than a belt change, it symbolizes friendship, hard work, and our commitment to upholding the values of jiu-jitsu.
Congratulations to everyone who was promoted Your success is a reflection of your hard work and daily dedication to your study of jiu-Jitsu, its values & its philosophy.

This event is open to all students of our association.

- The Exam and testing procedure has been carefully designed to be a positive learning experience and to allow all students the opportunity to exhibit their skills in an atmosphere of co-operation and respect for fellow participants.
- Kimonos – Students must wear white kimono with association patch.
