Professor Eddie Kone is Head Instructor and Director of the
Eddie Kone Academy Of Jiu-Jitsu.
In August 1997, Eddie Kone made the first of many visits to Rio De Janeiro Brazil to pursue his career in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; their Eddie began his training under Royler Gracie, at the legendary Gracie Humaitá.
Today, Professor Eddie Kone is a sort after Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Professor who travels the world spreading his knowledge in the art of Jiu-Jitsu and its lifestyle.
After more then a Decade of training and coaching Alongside the Worlds Elite Jiu-Jitsu & MMA Practitioners, and teaching since 2002, Professor Kone Decided In 2008 To Establish the 1st Eddie Kone Academy of Jiu-Jitsu (EKBJJ) full time Academy.
The Eddie Kone Academy of Jiu-Jitsu has grown and has academies spread throughout the world, with many students Representing the “EKBJJ Association” Family”.
During the time Eddie has spent teaching, he has been privileged to coach many elite level athletes including: UFC fighter’s Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley, Nick Osipczek, Brad ‘One Punch’ Pickett, Vaughn Lee, Darren Stuart & 2 weight Bellator world champion Terry Brazier.
He has also assisted many fighters during their training camp’s Brought in as a jiu-jitsu coach to the likes of UFC Fighter’s Ross Pearson, Mike Wilkinson, Dean Amasinger to name a few.
An accomplished BJJ competitor & MMA Fighter & instructor Eddie is always searching for better and more efficient ways to further his knowledge as a teacher, Fighter, & student.
By applying the philosophies and concepts that Jiu-Jitsu has taught him on the mat as well as in his personal life, Eddie hopes his student’s will adopt the same principles both inside the academy during Competition and within life.
Known to his friends and students for his warm personality, Eddie has a fine eye for detail when teaching or correcting technique’s Eddie has an amazing gift to break down even the finest detail making the technique easy to understand and execute.
Coming from the Direct lineage of Grandmaster Helio Gracie, and the Gracie Family Eddie is a firm believer of technical and traditional approaches to teaching including self-defence, which is often overlooked.
Professor Eddie Kone remains a student of the Art and often host’s seminars at his Academy often with Members of the Gracie Family, world champion competitors and fighters Teaching.
Today Eddie is devoted to his family and students, teaching the techniques, philosophy, and traditions passed down directly to him from the Gracie Family.
In 2012 After being a Black belt for 5 yrs Professor Eddie Kone received His first Degree on his black belt from BJJ multiple World Champion Professor Rafael Lovato Jr.
In 2016 Eddie Received his second degree from his teacher Master Royler Gracie.
