Head instructor of EK BJJ, he is a native of Cuba, he began his training in Gracie Jiu Jitsu 13 years ago, receiving his black belt directly from Royler Gracie whilst in New York in June 2008.
During the time Eddie has spent teaching, he has been involved in training UFC fighter Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley, W.E.C Fighter Brad ‘One Punch’ Pickett Cage Rage/Ultimate Challenge fighters Doktor, Sami ‘The Hun’ Berik, Brad wheeler, & John Kelly, Eddie now heads up his own professional MMA fight team, Bloodline Fight Team.
An accomplished BJJ competitor and NHB instructor Eddie is always searching for better and more efficient ways to further his knowledge as a teacher, a student and as a person. By applying the philosophies and concepts that BJJ has taught him on the mat as well as in his personal life, he hopes his student’s will adopt the same principles both in the academy and outside.
Known to his friends and students for his warm personality and his fine eye for detail when teaching or correcting technique’s Eddie has an amazing gift to break down even the finest detail making the technique easy to understand and execute. Coming from the lineage of Helio Gracie, Eddie is a firm believer of technical and traditional approaches to teaching.
Eddie continues his Learning under the guidance of the Gracie family and remains a student of the Art.
